Assemble to Order or ATO refers to a type of production strategy within an organization or a factory.
In this configuration, a stock of standard products is established. Upon receipt of each sales order, the components of a finished product are assembled according to customer needs. Delivery times are only calculated from the assembly phase to delivery of the product to the end customer.
