Engine to Order or ETO describes a type of production strategy within an organization. Engine to Order production is used for goods requiring either a high level of customization or production of unique pieces.
In this configuration, the customer is involved in every stage of production, from the design process to the delivery. Delivery times are calculated from the design phase and ends with the delivery of the final product to the customer.
