Maintenance in Operational Condition or MOC defines all maintenance activities aimed at ensuring the availability of equipment and systems.
MOC is applied from the operator’s point of view, i.e. the company that acquires a system and/or equipment, and targets all of the company’s critical equipment over the entire life cycle of their operation.
Operational Condition Maintenance is also part of a strategy to recover, backup and replicate the configuration of machines and systems. It can thus take into account, in the context of constant-flow production, the replacement of defective components, fault diagnosis and training in maintenance methodologies.
